The European Centre for Theoretical Studies in Nuclear Physics and Related Areas (ECT*) of FBK is recognized worldwide for its annual program of meetings, including workshops, collaboration meetings, doctoral training programs, and specialized courses. Local research activities at ECT* focus on theoretical nuclear physics and computational physics in the broadest sense. This includes related areas such as theoretical particle, astro, atomic, and condensed-matter physics, as well as quantum simulation, quantum computing, and machine learning. Currently, ECT* hosts 5 permanent researchers, 4 postdoctoral associates, the ECT* Director, 3 Ph.D. students, and 4 administrative staff members. ECT* has close ties with other FBK centers, the University of Trento, and INFN's Trento Institute for Fundamental Physics and Applications. More information about ECT* is available at www.ectstar.eu.
FBK actively seeks diversity and inclusion in the workplace and is also committed in promoting gender equality.
