A Cyber Security Analyst for the FBK JointLab

The FBK Cyber Security Centre (CS) develops digital technology and cyber security to foster collaboration between the various stakeholders through a combination of IT risk management techniques (in order to develop highly innovative security solutions that will mitigate vulnerabilities and reduce the risk of attacks) as well as trust management techniques (to improve the interaction between people and technology). As part of the FBK mission, which aims to achieve results of scientific excellence and to produce an impact on society, the Center's mission is to make these techniques available to the largest number of organizations, including SMEs, which account for a substantial part of the EU economy but lack cybersecurity expertise. To this end, integrating automated cyber risk assessment support with trust management that will have the ability to produce operational suggestions to assist ICT solutions designers, developers and administrators in their daily activities is critical.

The Digital Solutions and IT Infrastructure Service (SSDIT), included in the Infrastructure and Platforms area, carries out the design, implementation and monitoring of IT infrastructures through a "security by design" approach to protect data and prevent threats. It also ensures the operation of the network and its connected devices, supporting researchers in implementing the systems needed to pursue their projects with the motto "Working safely, easily, from any place, at any time, with any device, in the same way".

The required figure will be placed within the Joint Lab for Cybersecurity, a shared internal hub between the Center for Cybersecurity and the Digital Solutions and IT Infrastructure Service, active since January 1st, 2025. It represents both a first-response task force in the event of incidents and a unified service for training, consulting, and support with custom solutions to common problems, according to the Zero Trust approach, at combined research and production level deriving from internal vertical expertise in digital identity management, risk assessment, cloud-native security, applied cryptography, and administration of complex IT systems. Its objective is to experiment methods to increase incisiveness and proactivity in the field of cybersecurity, and at the same time act as a test bed for the future export of the model as a service to be offered to other provincial bodies and to the local productive sector.

FBK actively seeks diversity and inclusion in the workplace and is also committed to promoting gender equality. To promote the inclusion of disabled staff as per law 68/99, the Foundation is available and interested in evaluating the applications received for technical-scientific domains that do not correspond exactly to this call.
